What is a pendulum?:
Pendulums are a helpful divination tool used for dowsing. It is essentially a weight suspended from a pivot that allows it to swing freely. They can be used to answer yes or no questions or to follow energies. I often use a pendulum during healing sessions to assess the flow of energy around the physical body and chakras. Over time your pendulum will become part of your daily toolkit.
How do I use my pendulum?:
-Some people like to hold them between their index finger and thumb while others find that by holding between ring finger and little finger there is less likeliness to influence the movement.
-Begin by asking which way is your yes, no and maybe and take note of the direction of the swing.
-You can then go on to ask simple questions that only warrant yes or no answers.
How should I care for my pendulum?:
You may wish to keep it in a small pouch. Due to the silver plate and crystals used, I would suggest cleansing your pendulum by placing on a windowsill under the light of the sun or full moon. Alternatively smudging will also reset the energies. However you cleanse your new tool, clear and strong intention is key. I strongly advise against ever using salt water to cleanse crystals and in this case would also avoid water as it could damage the silver plate.
